Widow and the Son was a brutal death metal project that originated out of Unionville, Tennessee in the United States. The project, formed by Zachary Plunkett, released a single demo.

History Edit

Widow and the Son began in 2010, out of Unionville, Tennessee in the United States. The project was formed by Zachary Plunkett, formerly of Dysfunctional Rotout, Willow Mount, and Essence of Immortality.[1] The project signed with Sullen Records, a label primarily known for black metal which had also signed acts such as Elgibbor, Frost Like Ashes, and Plunkett's other project Willow Mount.[2] The band released a single demo in 2010, titled Negation before disbanding.[1][3] In 2015, Widow and the Son was featured on a compilation titled Christian Brutal Death Metal Volume 1, with their song, "Pulled from the Grave".[1][3][4] The same year, the project's EP was re-released via SkyBurnsBlack Records.[5]
