Phenex Rising was a progressive and technical black metal band that originated out of New Orleans, Louisiana in the United States.[1] The band was started as a solo venture of Marc Hoffman, hiring on Armath Sargon founder Kalle Kannisto on Vocals.[2]

History Edit

Phenex Rising began as a band in 2009, created in New Orleans, Louisana in the United States by Marc "The Phenex" Hoffman.[2] He hired on Jason Elser and Ryan Giacone on Bass and Drums. Following it's formation, the project took a break. In 2011, the project was revived, with only Hoffman remaining, as Giacone and Elser departed. In February 2012, Kalle Kannisto of Armath Sargon joined on Vocals.[2] In April 2012, Taylor Hardy joined the band as their Drummer.[3] The band began recording several singles as well as announcing the album, Inside the Machine. The project never came to full fruition as they seemingly disbanded in 2017 before releasing any full material.[1]
