Parallax Withering are a melodic deathcore band that originated out of Murfreesboro, Tennessee in the United States. The band began in 2011,[1] between brothers Matthew and Zack Plunkett. The two hired on close friend and bandmate Max Tubville, and the band began working on material. The band released an EP, a single, and were featured on several compilations.

History Edit

Parallax Withering began in 2011 between Matt and Zack Plunkett, with Max Tubville joining soon thereafter. The band began recording as a three-piece, which produced several singles as well as the lead single from their EP.[2] The band's debut track, "Darkness/Reversal" was released through Christian Deathcore Volume 1.[3] Following the single's debut, the band was featured on another compilation, titled True Warriors For Christ, which was released via Vision of God Records, featuring "Messiah" and "The Ancient Spirit".[4][5]

In 2014, the band signed to SkyBurnsBlack Records, and releasing their debut EP, Disintegration.[4][6] God's Metal Militia Volume 1 featured "Darkness/Reversal" in 2014,[7] with "Consumed" being released on Christian Deathcore: Volume 3 the same year.[4][8] "Repentance", another track off of the EP was featured on a compilation titled United We Skate Benefit Comp - Vol. 5 Metal, which was released by SkyBurnsBlack and Thumper Punk Records.[9] However, following the EP's release, Zack and Tubville departed from the band. Steven Sanders, a bandmate of Matt's and former member of Essence of Immortality and Apocalypse of the Risen, joined the band as a Guitarist. The two recorded a track titled "Life Ruiner", which would be featured on Christian Deathcore: Volume 4.[10][11] Following the single's release, the band would seemingly go on hiatus.
