Hope Deferred is a death metal and deathcore project based out of Dallas, Texas in the United States. The project formed in 2016 by Andrew Godwin, formerly of Embodyment and The Famine. Godwin had also previously been a part of Pyrithion, alongside Tim Lambesis (As I Lay Dying) and Ryan Glisan (ex-Allegaeon), who released one EP before going on hiatus.[1] Godwin hired Jon Tooley, former live Guitarist for The Famine, as well as a member of Bear Witness, and the two recorded a demo in 2016.[2]
