Resurrected Divinity is a brutal death metal project that originated out of Rock Springs, Georgia in the United States. The band has released a plethora of material in their brief time as a project, originating in 2019 by Tyler Johnson, who had performed in several slam projects.

History[]

Tyler Johnson started Resurrected Divinity in 2019,[1] with the release of a single, titled "The Fall of Tyre", which was released independently in April.[2] Johnson had previously been in a plethora of brutal death metal and slam metal projects, including As the Hearse Goes By and Endocordial Staphylococcus.[3] Throughout 2019, the band released two demos, four EPs, and a studio album, Escaping the Black, all of which was released independently.[3]

In December 2019, the band announced they signed with The Bearded Dragon Productions, home to bands including Three Days in Hell, Mystic Winter, and Come to Pass.[4][5] After joining the label, the band released a third demo on January 19, 2020.[6] Since joining the label, the project has released an EP, titled Shoulda Repented, and their sophomore album For the Great Day of His Wrath Has Come.
