Dissimulator was a deathcore band that began in the year 2012, based out of Tacoma, Washington in the United States. The band recorded two albums, Factions and This is Darkness, independently before the band disbanded in 2016.

Dissimulator formed in 2012, following the disbanding of They Charge Like Warriors, with Vocalist/Guitarist Jared Dines, Guitarist Zack Holt, Bassist Joshua McDowell, and Drummer David Montalvo forming the band, while TCLW's Vocalist, Justin Hockaday remained out of the project.

McDowell departed shortly after the band formed, with DM Tragedy filling in the role of Bassist. However, before Tragedy joined the band, the band recorded their debut album, Factions, as a three-piece. In 2014, the band released their sophomore album, This is Darkness and a single called "Jack's Lament", an original Christmas song. On October 25, 2016, the band announced they would be embarking on an indefinite hiatus.[1] Later, in a video with Dines' second YouTube channel with his friend and fellow Vocalist Austin Dickey, posted on March 16, 2018, he mentioned the band had broken up.[2]
