Deceiver was a melodic heavy metal band that began in 1985. They were based out of Hershey, Colebrook Township, Pennsylvania. The lineup consisted of Kurt Bachman (vocals/guitars), Joey Daub (drums), Dave Baddorf (guitars), and Howe Kraft (bass). The band, in 1986, changed their name to Believer, which was how they would later become known.[1]
The band changed their name to Believer after the name of the Ozzy Osbourne song.[2][3][4]
