Cardiac Rupture is a slamming deathcore band that originated out of Detroit, Michigan and Colorado Springs, Colorado in the United States.[1] The band was created in December 2017 over Facebook, by Vocalist Robert Wilson, Guitarist Julian Ferretti, and Drummer Ben Ryan.[1]

History Edit

Cardiac Rupture originated in December 2017,[2] over Facebook, between Vocalist Robert Wilson, Guitarist Julian Ferretti, and Drummer Ben Ryan.[1] Wilson and Ryan resided out of Detroit, Michigan, while Ferretti lived in Colorado Springs, Colorado.[1]

Over the course of 2018, the band began to work on and record an EP, titled The Creator's Hand. The EP was released through Chugcore Productions in 2019,[3] which is a promotion label, who had worked with acts such as Abated Mass of Flesh and Apollyon.[4][5] The EP was well-received, between the music and the artwork.[6][7]

Following the release of the EP, the band began to branch out to begin playing shows. Due to his inability to perform live with the band, Ferretti seemingly departed from the band. Wilson and Ryan added on Mikke Durling on Bass and Troy Johnson on Guitars. The four-piece would perform their debut show at Audiofeed Festival in 2019.[8] During the weekend of Audiofeed, the band was announced to be on the Hasten Revelation Festival, alongside the lineup of Crimson Thorn, Taking the Head of Goliath, Abated Mass of Flesh, and Broken Flesh.[9] Broken Flesh later dropped off, with My Place Was Taken filling their slot.[10] Later that year, Jared Dines, the metal YouTuber as well as former Dissimulator and They Charge Like Warriors member, covered the band in his video "10 absurdly extreme metal bands".[11] In 2020, the band announced their new single "Piss Christ", which was released on March 6, 2020. The track was titled after the 1987 photograph by Andreas Serrano and is about self-righteous Christians.[12] On March 7, 2020, the band embarked on the second Hasten Revelation Tour.[9] Wilson would later go on to renounce his faith, as well as kick out the remaining members of the band, Troy Johnson and Mikke Durling.
