Be Not Betrayed is a black metal band based out of Johannesburg, South Africa on the continent of Africa. The band was originally known as Raszagol, beginning in 2009, until 2011 when the project's founder, Jethro de Beer, changed the name.

History[]

Be Not Betrayed originated in Johannesburg, South Africa in the year of 2009. The band, originally known as Raszagol, recorded and released an EP and an album.[1] By 2011, the band changed their name to Be Not Betrayed and began recording material. In 2014, the band released an EP, In Spirit and in Truth, through the American label SkyBurnsBlack Records.[2][3]

In 2015, "The Model Prayer", a single, was released independently.[2][3] In 2019, the band released another single, "Void", off of their newest upcoming EP, Suffering.[2][3][4] The band also has an upcoming full-length, titled End Times, set to be released.[2]
