Azusa is a progressive extreme metal supergroup that began in the year 2018. The band formed out of Pennsylvania in the United States as well as Norway and Greece in Europe. The project began when now-former The Dillinger Escape Plan Bassist Liam Wilson expressed admiration for the progressive metal band Extol, where cousins Christer Espevoll and David Husvik of Extol had already formed a new project, hiring on Wilson.[1][2] The three eventually hired on Vocalist Eleni Zafiriadou of the pop band Sea + Air, and the new four-piece began working on a debut album.[1][3]
