Apocalypse of the Risen was a death metal project that originated out Tennessee, in the United States. The band was active around 2009 when they released their debut album, The Trial Awaits. Following the album's release, however, the band seemingly disbanded.
History[]
Apocalypse of the Risen began out of Tennessee in the United States. The band was formed by Matthew Plunkett and Steven Sanders, two close friends who had been performing in other projects together, including Essence of Immortality.[1] The band began around 2009, seemingly around the end of Dysfunctional Rotout. The two began recording material and eventually getting enough material for a full-length album. The band recorded and released their debut, The Trial Awaits, and released it independently.[2] Following the album's release, the band seemed to disband. A few years later on, the two would continue working together in Parallax Withering.[1]
