Absurd² was a technical thrash metal supergroup that originated out of Olso, Norway in Europe.[1] The band was formed as a side-project by members of Extol, Vardøger, and Silver in 1999.[2] The band disbanded around 2004, following the release of their only self-titled EP.[3]

History Edit

Absurd² was created in 1999 with the lineup of Ivar Nikolaisen of Silver on Vocals,[4] Lina Holmström of Serena Maneesh on Vocals,[5] Christer Espevoll formerly of Extol on Guitars,[4] Magnus Westgaard of Vardøger on Bass,[4] David Husvik of Extol on Drums.[4] Four of the members went under aliases, save for Holmström.[6]

In 2000, the band was featured on a compilation released by Endtime Productions, title In the Shadow of Death.[2] Three years later, in 2003, the band was also featured on a second Endtime release, titled Come Armageddon.[2] On July 13, 2004, the band released their debut, a self-titled EP, through the label.[7] Following the release, the band embarked on an indefinite hiatus.[3]
